A Grateful & Thankful Thanksgiving

It’s Thanksgiving week, and I have been reflecting on all I’m am grateful for in my life. Going alcohol-free has opened up so much in my soul. This process has opened my mind to curiosity about all things in life. I’m grateful for becoming more mindful and more present in my life.

I’m grateful for choosing to accept myself for who I am, for looking in the mirror, and for learning to love the person in the reflection. I’m grateful for my age and the wisdom that comes with it. I’m thankful for the wrinkles and lines because I know so many who” are no longer on this earth.

Grateful for a God who loves me and all that I am. He forgives me and comforts me when I lie in bed and question every decision I have ever made. He is the One who tells me Fear is the enemy and a liar.

Grateful for all of my emotions and know that there are no wrong emotions. Thankful that I get to experience all of them more fully because I’m no longer numbing them.

Grateful for the journey of life with all its ups and downs. I am grateful for my mistakes because they have provided me with the humility to move forward and strive for something better. Grateful to have the privilege to help others move forward in their lives.

I’m incredibly grateful for love.

Love for my husband

Love for my children.

Love for my family and friends.

Love for people who I don’t know. Love for this beautiful, broken world that is my temporary home. Love for myself. (Something I couldn’t do for most of my life.)

Love of learning that has recently reawakened in me.

Love from my God the Father. Love from my God the Son & Savior.

Love from my God, the Holy Spirit.

What are you grateful for today?

Are you wanting a reset from alcohol? I’m here to help.
